410 Non Wing sprint car practice in Bakersfield

The weather held out for practice today in Bakersfield, all of us crawled in the toter home and we were on our way. He had a great practice day and the excitement for race season is growing strong. His first race of the season starts in 2 weeks on 3-14-09 at Kings Speedway in Hanford. He will be driving the #11 360 Non Wing Sprint Car. He can't wait and I'm just nervous!!! I guess that's what being a "Race Mom" is all about.

Well the weather held out for TJ to practice the Wing Sprint car today. The car doesn't have any of the vinyl on it yet but they are working on it.

Race Season Here Again!!!

Well race season is here again. TJ is driving again with McCowan Motorsports and he practiced the 360 Non Wing Sprint Car at Kings Speedway in Hanford. He was very excited to be back in a car again. He was suppose to practice the 360 Wing Sprint Car tomorrow 2/14/09, but Mother Nature took care of that plan so they will practice next Saturday 2/21/09.

Raio will fly down when Plaza Park Raceway in Visalia has it's play day on 3/28/09 then they will both be driving 600cc Micro Sprints. She is very excited to get back in the car as well. With both of them racing we stay very busy. Friday nights in the Micros and Saturday nights in the Sprint Car, life doesn't get any better than that! :)

History of My Race Kids

TJ and Raio both started racing Quarter Midgets when they were 8 yrs old. After many Trophies and Championships later, they moved to Micro Sprint Cars when they were 13 yrs old. They both won Championships at Plaza Park Raceway and got to travel to out of state tracks and run with alot of different drivers. Raio is currently still running a Micro Sprint Car and TJ started running a 360 Sprint Car last year and still runs the Micros with Raio on Friday nights at Plaza Park Raceway. Friday Nights Micros and Saturday nights Sprint Cars. They have both come along way with 10 yrs of racing under their belts, following their dreams of driving a race car.
